What is a film proposal.

A proposal is a way to pitch a film. A proposal includes a working title ,a logline which is a short captivating description of your plot point which should be able to state the main concept of the story in just one sentence.

Proposals also include a screenplay structure which is a three act structure usually the setup the mid point and the resolution. The setup is usually about 30 minutes long and is where characters and conflict are introduced. The mid point is often an hour long and is where conflict truly begins and expands. The resolution is where the conflict gets solved.

Film treatment

This  part should read like a short story and be in present tense. The film treatment shows the entire story including the end. It is more detailed than a synopsis and may include details of directional style than a outline.

Target Audience

This is knowing how old your audience is and what specific age or gender your audience is. This is also knowing your unique selling point that helps you stand out  compared to other films.
